Reunion 2016

[ezcol_3fifth]

Maybe you’ve been to all our class reunions, maybe not. But if you have been to any one of them 2 things are for sure:

1. The kids you went to Orange High School with aren’t kids any more. And that’s a good thing.
2. You find out things you never knew, probably from someone you never talked with before.

Let’s face it. High School is way long gone in the rear view mirror. Lots of us are retired – or getting there. Our children are bearing children. At least that’s true with many of us.

What Does This Mean?

It’s time to spend a few hours with some people you once spent a few years with a long time ago. If you’re wondering what it’s like to see these fine people then it’s time to come down off your fence and come to the reunion because you ain’t getting any younger.

The Plans

As in the past we will have a two evening event.

Friday, July 29, 2016

During The Day

Golf anyone?

We’ve got 8 openings of which 3 ( Mary Lou Smullen, Bob Bensen and Steve Daniels) are already taken.

See you at the First Tee? Let Bob bbensen@roadrunner.com know if you are interested.

In The Evening

We will have a get together at a local drinking establishment starting around 7:30pm. We are opening that evening up to OHS graduates in classes 69 to 73. The location will be selected once we have a better idea of group size.

Saturday, July 30, 2016

During The Day

Join us for a Bike Ride on the Tow Path in the Cuyahoga Valley. It will be a slow leisurely ride (translated, no one will sweat), under a canopy of trees, on the Tow Path (translated, flat as a pancake) next to the Cuyahoga River.

Yup, tell Bob. bbensen@roadrunner.com.

The Main Event

The main event will be a casual evening at Executive Caterers at Landerhaven starting at 7pm. Our Landerhaven room will be dedicate solely to our reunion. We will serve light appetizers and a cash bar will be available. Spouses are of course welcome on Saturday, but are not “required”. About a third of our classmates bring their spouses on Saturday evening.

Location:6111 Landerhaven Dr, Lyndhurst, OH 44124

Later On

If you can…

  • stay awake past 10PM
  • stil move
  • and like to dance

then a bunch of us just might want to find a 60’s place (no, this will not be a sock hop) to party on. Sounds good to you? Get in touch with Bud Kraus bud@classof71.com.

Stay In The Loop

Make Sure To Fill Out “Are You Going?” (top right on this page). Then Tell Us What’s Going On With You Now

  1. Thank you Bob, Mary Lou, and Buddy.
It is really nice that you all take the time to try to get us all together.
Every reunion seems to get even better than the preceding one…and they have all been fun times.
    Looking forward to this one.

  2. I am looking forward to July. I have only missed one (the 40th) because my son was in the hospital. It is always a good time. I hope to see as many classmates as possible.

  3. 45 years? Never really notice the time until something like this comes about (and the grandchildren). Been living in the Boston area and plan on coming in July with my lovely wife. Looking forward to seeing everyone again. The “In Memoriam” list is scary……almost made that list 7 years ago (motorcycle accident). See you soon Bob and Mary and all that are going.
